MaldivInfo and DevInfo 5.0

MaldivInfo is the Maldives adaptation of DevInfo. Built on DevInfo version 5.0, it is a repository of more than 280 national indicators derived from key national social surveys, censuses and the statistical yearbooks.

DevInfo 5.0, a powerful new version of DevInfo, operates both as a desktop application and on the web. It delivers significant enhancements for easy access to information on human development. The system has been developed under UN partnership and is distributed royalty-free to all end users. Now national statistics offices, UN agencies, donors, NGOs and civil society can prepare reports and presentations using this common database platform. The system has been endorsed by the UN Development Group and is being used in many countries to help track the Millennium Development Goals and other national priorities. DevInfo 5.0 has evolved from a decade of innovations in database systems that support informed decision making and that promote the use of data to advocate for human development. The system organizes data by indicators, time periods and geographic areas with extensive metadata based on international standards. This new version builds on the experience and insights of thousands of DevInfo users around the world.

DevInfo 5.0: Powerful Presentations and Reports

DevInfo 5.0 produces tables, graphs and maps from data views. The powerful new Map Wizard shows more than one indicator at a time on the same map. It can also be used to produce map insets and to auto-generate time series maps. Thematic maps can be projected onto raster maps and buffers can be applied to features such as roads or health posts to extract more information and make better decisions.
